what she says: i'm fine what she means: red was a lyrically genius album that painted all the feelings of heartbreak and moving on using the idea of a single color eclipsing all the emotions and sure it wasn't "sonicly cohesive" like 1989 or entirely written on taylor swift's own like speak now or pure country like her debut album or the tipping point of her career like fearless but red was written during an emotionally vulnerable point of taylor's life where she bluntly writes "we're happy free confused and lonely at the same time" to refer to her early twenties and was bluntly honest. red deserved a grammy because no other album compares still, and while 1989 is amazing there's something about treacherous stating "this path is reckless" and i knew you were trouble that show both maturity and grace. i almost do paints you a picture of wanting to call someone but being too terrified to call and make up with someone that could apply to any moment. red was unappreciated by the grammys and for that i will always be angry.
